Car Giant - Haggling ?

I have a seen a car that i want costing 5,799 . I would like to pay only 5k - can i haggle at cg - I can get the same car cheap private but 185 miles away. would like to buy from a garage just in case anything goes wrong i would have some body to sue.

Garages are typically only getting £500-£600 profit on a used car so there may not be the room to negotiate it down to what you want.0

True words from a wise man - imagine haggling down to about 4500 and then paying off immediately. What about the possibility of backdated interest
You could always take a day or two to 'think about it' so you can call the finance company and see if there's any penalty from settling up early.0 -

Bit of a dangerous thing to say to the OP. What if there are early termination fees. Sometimes the full interest is due less a small settlement amount.The man without a signature.0 -
