  • Complain to Lidl. I did and they dropped the charge. It is NOT enforceable, ignore the pseudo legal clap-trap. DON'T PAY

  • Hi Money Saving Experts,

I'm a first time visitor to the forum. I've just stumbled across these blogs re the Lidl/Athena parking charges and started reading because I have recently received a 'Civil Parking Charge Notice'. I was about to pay the fee of £45 but now am unsure whether the charge is really official or enforceable.

Please confirm whether I should ignore the Charge which I recieve via post because I'd hate to pay £90 for late payment.

p.s please respond asap the reduced parking charge is due today !!!! 11.06.12
  • Ignore it. The parking co's rely on scare tactics.

Please DO NOT pay this. Just ignore it and all the threatning letters they will send. Eventually they will leave you alone and go find another 'victim' to target.

    Easily done when you're busy.

Yes, Living Waters, this is simply another totally unenforceable invoice sent out by the company more in hope than expectation... hope that you might be silly enough to pay it... but I expect you're not!

Simply treat it with the respect it deserves and totally ignore it. When they realise they are wasting their time they will go away- with Athena that doesn't usually take long.

    Do not worry.
  • ok thanks all :j
