Games not Playing..

I am trying to play Crysis 2 and Medal of Honour. Both games install O.k, but as soon as I go to play them the games just freeze.

I'm having the same trouble with Call of Duty (world at war), which played in the past without any problems.

The spec is

Dell XPS 420 Quad Core
Processor 2.4
3 gig of ram
Nvidia GE Force 88GT card

Does anyone know what I can do to resolve this?

Do you have the latest NVidia drivers installed?

Hi, I have just installed Nvidia version 275-33 and tried Cysis 2 again, but it still froze just after the title screen finished.

Anything else I could try?

The computer is just over 3 years old and is running Vista.

Tbh Crysis 2 is a big ask for an 8800GT. It's the minimum spec card for the game. What settings are you running? Recommended maximum for the game with that card are Very High at 1920 x 1200.

Thanks for that info, but it freezes before I get to the 'options' to change the settings.

Do you have any recommendations for a new graphics card?
