Praise - people in general

I saw a heart warming sight today.
In our town centre there is usually a small group of people trying to get others to sign a petition on this topic or that. They usually find it hard to interest people, just getting the odd signature now and again.
Today, the pitch was crowded with people waiting to sign one of the three sheets available.
Guess what the petition was?
"We believe that News International is not a fit organisation to own BSkyB and urge the government to prevent them taking it over." (Or very similar words.)
It really made me feel better about people.

There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.

"The newspaper industry is expecting a busy Sunday, with high sales of the final News of the World predicted and rivals fighting to attract its readers.
With the impetus for a boycott stalled after the closure, agents now expect a sales boost from souvenir hunters.
Insiders say sales could be as much as 30% higher than the usual 2.6 million copies."
From the BBC website. Even the left-wing BBC cannot hide the fact that more than 3 million love the News of the World . Let's see the Guardian match those figures.0 -
The newspaper you buy says a lot about the kind of person you are. Unfortunately there are a lot of news of the world readers in this country (and sun readers!).0

Fifty percent of people in the UK are below average (median) intelligence.

Really? Wow, I would have never figured that out, next you'll be telling us that fifty percent of people are above average (median) intelligence...
Who'd have thought it?If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands
