Which cards got easy approval??

Hi everyone,

I'm planning to apply for a credit card and preferably looking for a high limit to pay my uni fees. According to Experian, my credit score is about 700 and I got this accounts in my credit report:

01. HSBC - £2250 / £175
02. HALIFAX - £1700 / £960
03. Monument (Shows as Barclaycard) - £1000 / £767
04. AQUA (Shows as HALIFAX) - £350 / £125
05. Barclaycard - £350 / £290
06. CapitalOne - £200 / Setteled (Closed)

And two current accounts.

I have got a few cards in mind and just wanted to know your views. I'm thinking of applying for:

01. M&S &MORE (Run By HSBC)
02. Marriott Rewards (Run by HALIFAX)
03. Egg Card
04. Morgan Stanley
05. Virgin Money (Run by MBNA)
06. BA Amex

I REALLY APPRECIATE YOU GUYS GIVING INPUT ON WHICH CARD YOU THINK WOULD BE EASY TO GET.

THANKS A LOT.
01. Marriott Rewards VISA (£2700 @ 17.9%)
02. HSBC MasterCard (£2250 @ 14.9%)
03. HALIFAX One MasterCard (£2200 @ 12.9%)
04. Monument VISA (£1000 @ 19.9%)
05. Aqua MasterCard (£500 @ 29.9%)

without knowing what you want in terms of bt, 0%, etc, it's very hard to advise......

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D
  • Egg will do a large limit on your card.

Or at least they did with me they gave me a £3000 limit when my credit rating was lower than low

Depends on how long you intend to take in paying back the fees but if longer term i'd apply for 2 cards, one for the initial purchase at 0% and also the M&S 3.9% LOB, transfer the balance to this just before the 6 month deadline.
If you're constantly tarting there's always the danger at some point you'll get turned down as you already have several cards.
I myself have the M&S card with a 5k limit and all my remaining card debt is now on that.
  • I had no problem getting an M&S &more card with £8000 limit. Have also had a virgin card with 3500 limit and a Sainsburys with 3000 limit

I was thinking of Marriott Rewards VISA card as the summary box says minimum credit limit is £3500. What do you guys think?

You've already got two Halufax run cards. Not sure if this would be a good thing or not? Good in the respect they can see how you manage your other cards and bad in the fact that they may not want to offer any more credit to you anymore

Give it a go. No-one can really say for sure.

You maybe right, phoenix79. That leaves me with 2 cards: EGG, &MORE. what do you guys think of this? Also is MBNA really hard to get? I wanted to apply for virgin money cards which is by MBNA.

Also received a application form from MINT....
