Shame, wouldn't mind one of these :D

Meh, going to buy an ATA instead and use a normal BT phone with my wireless router.

Sorry about that. My store is in Poole.
  • I think you all missed out there guys. It was Tesco's deal of the day recently. I just got 2 from Tesco Direct for a tenner, delivered on 28 December. Each phone has a £5 credit voucher. I also added a Tesco Value SIM card for a fiver, this gave free delivery plus £10 mobile credit. Got my double clubcard points too using clubcard plus, all 30 of them (total cost including free delivery was £15)! Ah, forgot to use Quidco though!
  • skype work around

A work around has been posted to use the phone on skype
    1. Set Skype sound options to audio in/out: Cordless usb phone and the ringing: Your sound card and pc speaker
    2. In the handset audio device options are set to the following: mic and speaker to cordless usb phone

    Receiving a Skype Call

    1. On the handset select *Make Call (Green phone icon)
    2. Select Green phone icon on skype software

    Making a Skype Call

    1. On the handset select *Make Call (Green phone icon)
    2. Make a normal call via skype software

The trick is to open up the audio channel on the handset without making an actual phone call i.e. phone you own number! and make sure that audio options on skype and usb phone are linked.

    1. Open your phone's software (Freshtel or Tesco Internet phone). This opens the phone to online calls

    2. Dial * (yes just star or asterix or whatever you call it) and press the green handle.

    3. The phone connects with your computer, the red light comes on and should be able to use as a skype phone.
  • Hi, I am new to this forum and would greatly appreciate some help.

I bought one of these phones today with the intention of using it with Skype but can't get any joy with the method above - can anyone offer more simple instructions?

Basically, I have done what is instructed but when the handset is in the base the red light is on anyway, when I am holding the handset there is no red light before or after phoning '*'.
