Tesco Internet Phone £5 With £5 Free Calls

Found these on Christmas Eve.
It's reasonably well build DECT phone with a USB connection for VOIP. Model number FF128 and it's not MAC friendly. The £5 voucher is for Tesco's own VOIP service.
I'm guessing that you could use it with Skype when the free time has run out, but I will know more tomorrow as it's on charge at the moment.

Ooo.... That's a bargain, going to go look for that once Tesco opens again. Got one of their bog standard USB phones (which are sold under loads of different brands) and it isn't bad but the cable is a real pain.
Thanks.0 -

Hi, I'd love the detail of if it's useable on Skype. Alan.Every day when I wake up I thank the Lord I'm WELSH. .0 -
It looks like it's NOT Skype compatible.
Oh well, it was free.0 -

You'll probably find that if you uninstall the Tesco software CD, then it will work with other voip companies.0 -

It was instore, not web. Not a misprice either as they were priced at £5 on the shelf.mustsportsbar wrote:Alright guys it may be too much Jack Daniels but the link is showing £29.99 not £5 ???0 -
How gutted am I... I bought one of these on Saturday! (Haven't opened the box yet though!). Was planning on using it with Skype! Does anyone know if this is ALL stores, or just the one that the OP went to?0

I've got a Tesco phone and I work it on Skype as well. I just have one system working at a time i.e. I don't have both Skype and Tesco operating systems launched simultaneously. No problems. I got it free with Star newspaper vouchers a while back. I think it's good.0

I don't have that phone; I have a different Tesco Internet Phone. (One of the first ones in their original range.) It said it wasn't Skype compatible, but it is. I use the Tesco Internet Phone service alongside Skype. I didn't even have to install any drivers.;) If it's only a fiver, it's worth buying just to see what happens!
I use Skype for calling, and Tesco for receiving calls, as it has a fixed landline number (you have to pay Skype monthly for the privilege, with Tesco it's free).0 -
Is there any drivers around for the FF128 similar to XTenMate for the original, wired, cheap USB one that Tesco also sell, meaning it can be used with X-Lite?0
