Sky Line Rental

I have just been offered by Sky 3months line rental free if i use them instead of my BT Line. Has anyone changed to this. I did have problems a year or to ago changing from Bt to Sky and they both messed up resulting in no phone line or broadband for 2months and my number being changed and because of this i had to go back to BT. My line rental is £12.90 (i think, as Bt keep changing it). Really i suppose the question im asking everyone is Is it worth the savings of 3months line rental to change and has anyone done this and been successful without any hastle? Thanks.

Its the same physical line. Sky may move you onto their voice network.
In the latter case you would not be able to change ISP without going back to BT.
Have you considered BT line rental saver, I believe Sky have a similar scheme, where you pay 12 months in advance. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
I didnt really want to pay any upfront fees, struggling at the moment, hence is why i need to save by switching. Ive also just read you need the usage charges to benefit from the upfront feels but my calls are with sky already.0

Sky would no doubt unbundle the line (llu) which may restrict your choices in the future.0

Im no really clued up on the llu line. Dont really know what that means. Taking it as if i did go with sky and they hiked up the prices it would be difficult to go to another line rental provider?0

Do you get your broadband from Sky, if so what package are you on?
If you don't know that how much do you pay for it?That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
I get Broadband, Talk Time (free weekend and evening calls) and Sky Tv For £21.50 per month with Sky.. Line rental atm is with bt at £12.90 (it was £12.60) but keeps changing for some unknown reason, thats with direct debit and paperless billing. Sky are offering me 3months free line rental then it will be £12.50? if i change to there line rental. Just want to know if anyone has had problems changing over. I dont want hastle with the change over like i did before, but at the same time i do need to save money.0
