Concert Tickets...

Anyone else peed off at the way concert tickets are sold?
For example tickets for rammstein were released at 8 am yesterday. so at 8 am i log onto ticketmaster (the only link provided by the venue) and ... all the decent seats already gone thats several thousand seats gone by about a minute after they went on sale.
funnily enough you could get the seats on ticketmasters sister site at vastly increased prices...
a cynical me would say that something fishy was going on.
and then there are the fees...
Ok I can accept that there will be an admn fee but £6.50 a ticket? oh and then to charge £2 for emailing you a link so you can print off your own tickets? Nice to tell you up front about these charges too rather than wait until a little clock tells you you only have x time left to complete your booking towards the end of the process.. oh no wait a minute.
In light of the recent events surrounding the online booking of airline tickets etc the way ticketmaster etc operates needs to be looked into.
They pretty much have a monopoly on the initial sale of tickets so unless you want to take your chances with buying 2nd tier you have no choice but to use them if you are unable to get to the venue to try to buy direct.

This is something that has been bugging me for ages, I missed out of getting some tickets recently and have just been on ticketmasters 'get me in' site and thought the tickets, although marked up from £19 to £26.50 each was ok, until I went to checkout and they add an admin fee of £9.50 and a further £9 postage! It came to over £72 total when I was expecting about £55 ish. Needless to say I didnt buy them. There are also loads for sale on ebay but I am cautious about buying them from there. Guess I shall keep looking!0 -
A lot of tickets have a presale like o2 have pre sale tickets. But not every site has every seat. Try Seetickets, I've used them loads and they are loads better than Ticketmaster, just uncheck the box that says £2 fee if you want them refunded, it was pre ticked the last time I used it. I've also used Ticketweb (through o2 priority) and already have the tickets for a date in November!
Ticketmaster is the most popular, but by no means the best. But if you do you use it make sure you go through Quidco if you have one, you get £1 cashback (wig whoop lol)0 -

I understand your frustration but there are many factors involved here. Its a very complicated industry. The seats wern't gone at 8am. They don't get released. They were sold days before, presales. For people that don't understand this, it is just how it operates. It would be an essay to describe how this works.0
