I'd like to buy a surround sound system, but don't really have an idea what to go for!
I have:
Samsung LE40R51B TV - http://www.pricerunner.co.uk/sound-and-vision/vision/tv/350578/details
NTL cable television
XBox 360
Computer with loads of MP3s
I would like at least a 5.1 surround sound system that will be used by all these devices - although connection to the computer isn't necessarily as important. Soundwise, I'm not an audiophile, but I would like something that is reasonably impressive. Pricewise, I'm aiming for £400 or under, and hopefully it should look quite nice...!
Any suggestions?! I've been looking at the Logitech® Z-5500 Digital, but that seems to just do the XBox360...
Thanks for any help!

for £400 you can get a decent setup. I've got a Yamaha Amp that cost me around £170 and running Mission speakers, probably cost me more than £400 but if you shop around you can probably get something 'similar' for the same price.
Don't know too much about the XBox 360 to see how it connects for sound but if it's got digital output then it'll go into an amp.0 -
Xbox 360 can connect a number of differnet ways very easily to any standard 5.1 amp.
may i suggest a trip your local richer sounds or some ebay hunting for 2nd hand bargains,Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0
