Question about next returns to the shop please

On what grounds? They're not legally obliged to accept ANY returns unless the item is faulty.

It's because the store won't be able to cope with the high level of returns and having a sale at the same time. Processing returns takes twice as long and makes the queue even bigger. I understand why companied do that.

i phoned Next directory today with regards to missing item and asked them if i could take directory returns back today. the man on phone said yes i was allowed to but would advise to hold on till tomorrow due to long queues expected today.
however we went and me and hubby split returns at different desks to speed things up and we were out of there in five minutes.
also i know people hacve been wondering about next directory returns - the saleassistant was putting them onto a hanger to put out as we left
