Indeed, at least you're £43 in credit and haven't been charged interest.
Excellent news. Call them tomorrow and you'll have your refund
Or, do an DD Guarantee Claim with your bank for the £43 Direct Debit.
Either way...Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Obviously i am happy. It's just a bit annoying that they advertise as being open 24/7, but don't tell you that this doesn't include Sunday's & only included some of the weekdays & even less of a Saturday.
They'll be getting a call tomorrow. Don't know what a D/D Guarantee Claim is, so i'll just be asking for the money. Cheque or direct payback, i'm not fussy.0 -

The direct debit may have been legitimate. Some of my card statements clearly state that the minimum payment will be taken by direct debit regardless of any other payments made.
If Tesco's statements state this, and unless the OP has agreed with them not to do so on this occasion, the DD is valid and could well be re-instated later, if the OP tells the bank (incorrectly) that it was taken without authority in order to get it reversed.
Tesco should refund the money without too much trouble. We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
The earth needs us for nothing.
The earth does not belong to us.

Totally agree with this and wouldn't suggest doing a DD guarantee claim when Tesco have done nothing wrong and merely taken the DD when they said they would...thenudeone wrote: »The direct debit may have been legitimate. Called them up & they said they'll have a cheque sent to me for the money ...... in the next 12 working days.
At least i'm getting it i guess so can't complain too much.0
