Card keeps getting declined - santander

Ok im getting A) very annoyed and very worried. I have just gone to go on a bingo site ( my little bit of enjoyment on a friday night) and my card just got declined! Looked at my account online and there is definatley money available. I tried a couple of different sites incase it was the bingo site playing up but it got declined each time. Tried phoning earlier, stuck in a long que so got fed up. I have sent them a secure message but as i have no reply yet im getting more and more anxious.

Has anyone else had and problems with thier santander account today?

You might have a "sticky" referral on the card which basically means there is a transaction or spending pattern that has been flagged as "unusual" for your account.

You need to call the number on the back of the card and they may ask you to confirm some transactions.

Gambling transactions usually trigger security checks, especially as you've tried more than once, so your card is probably blocked because of these. Call your card issuer.
