I have been told by the Egg that i will need to download microsoft 32 bit in order to use MM.

My question is if i do download 32 bit, what effect will it have on microsoft 64 bit.

Can i use both?

well to switch from 64-bit to 32-bit requires you to reinstall the entire OS, something which would require you to fully back up your computer, find the 32-bit drivers and then reinstall all your programs from scratch.

then if you bought the computer and it came with the OS you likely don't even have an 32-bit install disc to get 32-bit from.
and if you have 4GB of RAM or more then under 32-bit you can only ever use 3.5GB of it.

IMO 32-bit is a major step back nowadays, if one bit of software cannot be used with 64-bit then it's not worth having.

(but saying that 64-bit windows should be able to fully run all 32-bit software anyway)

Are you using Internet Explorer (64-bit)? If so, just use the standard version of it.

Start --> All Programs, in the list at the top you will see either Internet Explorer or Internet Explorer (64bit). The former is the 32bit version. You can choose which we want to use. So just download EMM and crack on (excuse the pun).

I already have MM and can view my accounts. But if i want add/amend any accounts, it does not allow me to do this. Every time i try to do this it goes back asking me to put user's name and password. I rang egg and and they told me i will need to download microsoft 32-bit.

I did this.........>All Programs, in the list at the top i have seen Internet Explorer and Internet Explorer (64bit). I tried to use MM in the former one but the problem still remains.

Sounds from the above post that Egg acknowledges a problem with 64bit Internet Explorer. Phone them back and tell them you are using 32bit Internet Explorer and you still have a problem.
