Waste pipes outside or in?

The waste pipe to the upstairs bathroom is leaking at the joints, and really needs replacing. Currently cited outside on the back external elevation, it hangs just above the back downstairs window, so that when it rains, drips from the pipe fall close to the window ledge.
I'm thinking of resiting the waste pipe inside bathroom, and boxing the pipes near and along the skirting board. This is so that the pipework is protected from the elements, so that the downstairs window is 'free' of pipes closeby, and so that at a later date, the external back elevation can be re-rendered nicely.
Before I give the plumber the go-ahead, can anyone see any disadvantages of this new arrangement over keeping it outside?
Thanks.

If your waste pipe has to be of a reasonable length to reach the drain. You can either have it straight through the wall (as you seem to have) and then run along the outside wall to the drain, or run along the inside to the vicinity of the drain(which is what you seem to want to do) and then through the wall to the drain.
The second choice (which you would like) has the disadvantage of costing more - boxing in and decoration to disguise the pipe, possible noise if it runs through any other room, any leaking joints in the future will damage plaster/decoration/possibly electrics and will be difficult to get at to repair.

Inside or out, it makes no difference where the pipes are run. No reason that they should ever leak if they are installed properly. having said that, I would probably not run them inside if it meant a lot of boxing in.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0
