Lock in Tariff

Hi All,

I've been with Scottish Power for a couple of years now and since the price hikes are all starting to happen over again I wondered if there are any tariffs out there that allow you to lock in the price?

I was going to look on the comparison sites but don't have my usage details due to me being at work (a job for the weekend)

Yes, they are called fixed tariffs (or capped tariffs, where the unit price is variable unless and until it reaches a stated ceiling).

You can get your usage estimated by saying you don't know your consumption, and some of the comparison sites allow you then to input details of your house / family, thus producing quotes. It will at least give you an idea until you get home.
