Friend was given a esystem 1511 (PC world own brand I think) laptop which came with Vista Basic installed.
She wanted her retail XP Pro putting on, which I did (after wiping all data off the hdd (including the restore partition for Vista)
Everything went fine except a bunch of drivers are missing including the network (I've installed XP on a few machines & this hasn't happened before)
PC world's site doesn't list it anymore, I just need to know what driver I need (can d/l on another machine & install from usb)

you are correct e-systems was a short run of pc world own brand, if i recall all are vista, and helpfully enough you can only download the vista drivers from their site (if you can find the e-systems section) I put windows 7 home premium on one abit ago was a right pain finding a few drivers, also for some reason often freezes so might put xp on it when i can be botherd0

Managed to find the Lan driver, then used Driver Genius to update the others. This worked fine except that it didn't fond the WIFI driver (or see that it was missing).
I think (hope) I've d/l the right drivers (realtek_wlan_xp_20110202) but don't know how to install as there is no auto setup program, just .cab & .inx files0 -
Select manually install from a location on this computer, then browse to the inf file.604!0
