I've built a couple of simple websites in the past using Frontpage 2000, its been a while but I need to build another and thinking about using some different software. I didn't find Frontpage particularly intuitive to use so I'm wondering if Expression Web is any better? Basically I'm looking for something that is simple to use and capable of knocking out and editing a simple site, bearing in mind my knowledge of HTML would fit on a postage stamp. So a genuine WYSIWYG editor would be great.
Any advice much appreciated.

Try some of those as there suppose to be freeware alternatives to dreamweaver which when it comes to website design is the best software out there.0 -

I think it is much better to know the basics of the code used (xhtml and css)
For the coding, download the excellent free Notepad++ from

For learning .. use

or using this Youtube series ... it's vg
