Thanks to the OP for this...decided to give myself a Christmas present & bought this via Dixons as Comet's site was down
Order has been confirmed - not sure how how many they have at this price...I think first available delivery date was 3rd Jan but I've opted for 6th
Next cheapest anywhere online was £643.00 for this one, so with the cashback refund etc a good buy!
Thanks again for pointing this one out

Yes, thanks for drawing my attention to this. I was expecting a traipse round the shops looking at TVs, but thanks to this thread (and a quick Google search for more information), I was able to order this TV on my laptop from the breakfast table without any of my Christmas guests even knowing about it!
And thanks also for the Coop discount code tip - the £20 paid for three-quarters of a new DVD player from the same Dixons website.0 -
John Lewis now has it for £599 with the 5 yr warranty. So it depends if the extra £20 is worth the extra warranty.
Is this a recommended tv? anyone got any reviews for it?0 -

So glad I did not go for the comet/currys offer, 5 year warranty is a great deal for same price.
Also 5% cashback through Quidco with some discount codes kicking about on HotUKDeals. :money:0 -
Very good deal by the looks of things, but I just recently purchased the LG 32 LCD or I would have considered this indeed.
However, I can certainly recommend the LG to anyone looking at LCDs. The one I have is LG 32LX2R - small review here: http://www.homecinemachoice.com/cgi-bin/displayreview.php?reviewid=6290 Again, the price tag if you look around goes as low as £599 but does not offer the freeview like the philips.
Mine is now connected up with a Qunex HDMI lead to the Samsung dvd player, the films im watching now are phenomenal, talk about detail and closest to HD for now with the supurb upconversions!0 -
I Price matched at John Lewis in Cambridge at about 7.00pm last night, when their store price was still £895. Maybe that's what prompted them to review their price today.
No problem - they rang Comet to confirm that £599 was a store price, not just an internet offer (John Lewis "Never knowingly undersold" applies to store price comparisons only) then processed the sale with a smile (and raised eyebrows)0 -
I can't seem to find any reviews for this. Anyone know of any?
Also what does Pixel Plus mean? what are the benefits?0 -
