Don't know who's worse - solicitors or estate agents

Sorry, but this has already been tried.
It obviously failed. The 'object' being used for testing must generally have 'feelings' and have a 'brain'. Solicitors and Estate Agents fail on both counts.0 -
Why clients are made to feel a nuisance when they want something done within a reasonable timeframe and which is what they are paying for is also beyond me.
I think they live in a different universe.
So true! Our solicitor actually told me to stop emailing her because I was taking up too much of her time and that she had other clients - after she's got my name wrong on a LPA that will cost us £300 to re-submit.
She then failed to tell us there was a delay with the LPA being registered which held up the sale of my father in law's house by 2 weeks.
Her colleague failed to call the buyer's solicitor about a problem when we asked her to, resulting in the buyer's withdrawing their offer and the estate agent spending all afternoon rescuing the deal.
She also waited until receiving our mortgage offer before disclosing to our lender that most of our large deposit was a gift from my father in law and may be investigated at a later date, then refused to reassure the lender that this was highly unlikely to affect the security.
We have now arranged for a new conveyancer and a new lender on the day we were supposed to exchange contracts and 6 days before we were due to complete.
What do you call 100 solicitors at the bottom of the ocean?
A good start!

Have absolutely no faith in our solicitors now but 6 weeks in I'm not sure it's worth jumping ship to another.0

Aww, that's not very nice. I've apparently met the only honest estate agent in the country...he's really quite sweet. I'm told he even cried a little when our previous house sale fell through at the last minute destroying the chain.....:eek:Debt Free! Long road, but we did it
Meet my best friend : YNAB (you need a budget)
My other best friend is a filofax.

I'd say 10% of conveyancers are actually solicitors, scary thought, so dont tarnish them because of the fault of the non-qualifieds...you paid for one, so your faultMy posts are just my opinions and are not offered as legal advice - though I consider them darn fine opinions none the less.:cool2:
My bad spelling...well I rush type these opinions on my own time, so sorry, but they are free.:o0
