Think ive missed out on these great deals as the cheapest i can find is handtel at £173 and dixons at £179.

Anyone know of any other deals for the tomtom one??

Is the tomtom one v2 the newest version?

My daughter had her original tomtom one soon after it came out in Dec 05 but its been stolen in a burglary. She wasnt covered by insurance but will need it to be replaced soon so would this be the one to look for? Is it better than the original and if so whats different?

We want to get the best price possible like the poster above the cheapest we can find too is about £179 + postage

errm bit confused here it only chrages when you are charing it with a adapter in the car byt when fully charged and u take charger out the battery life is around 1hour so you have to keep the chrager in alot of the time.

Did they sell the first tom tom ones that came out without a charger then?

Because we wouldnt have bought the car charger converter thing if it had been sold with a charger in already. I remember at the time buying it for christmas for her that it was much cheaper to get that charger converter that goes into the cig lighter than buy the proper charger for the tom tom.

We could look at tom toms with better battery life but she seemed to get on ok with that one charging using the converter adapter and could use it to charge it indoors on the mains with that converter if she wanted to. After having hers stolen it makes you wonder if its really worth paying any extra when it does the job anyway and there are so many of these stolen

tomtom ones only come with a car charger but as they charge through the USB connection you just leave it plugged into a computer to keep it charged up when out of the car, computer doesn't need to be on to do this.

I get about three hours use from mine which means I can complete most journeys without having a trailing cable.
