Redundancy Consultancy Period extended

I am the only one being made redundant as they are relocation my role to Spain. I entered into the consultancy period on 22 June and this will last at least until 12 July. If I continue talks with my employee about other possible roles within the company (for instance setting up discussions with other managers who may have a vacancy) if these talks take me beyond 12 July - can my consultancy period be extended and more importantly will I get paid for this extension of consultancy time?

The consultation period ends when the employer says it does - not when you decide that you have talked enough! So no it won't be extended. You can and should continue any conversations which may be needed - especially if they keep you in work in the longer term - but once the employers consultation is over they will make a decision and serve notice. But if something comes up, even during notice, you can still take it - so you never stop talking about possible opportunities.0

What she said. But if the employer does agree to extend the consultation period you should of course be paid, as you would still be employed.
You don't fancy relocating to Spain then?0
