Thinking about having a patio laid maybe using sandstone please can I have some advice from tradesmen regarding the depth of the sandstone which should be used. Waiting for a quote i should imagine its not cheap job, concrete has to be dug up, skip hired and there is also pointing to be done. Is it worth shopping around for the patio slabs and try to get some discount.
Any other advice like things to ask when obtaining a quote for a patio that would be useful.
