is this fake or what anyone else recieved one

obvioulsy i know we all get emails every day asking for our usernames and passwords and i wont ever give but i recieved this yesterday and im unsure whether its fake or not there is a few things i can spot which lead me to belivee its fake the grammar for one

just wondered if anyone else had recieved one i know you can t see here but it had official windows pictures and the links went to the sites they were linked bar one

    The easy thing to do if your unsure, is log into you account, VIA YOUR OWN TYPED ADDRESS IN YOUR BROWSER.

    Never log into you account via a link in a email.

    As the last post said, it looks like a scam, but if you log into your account via your typed address you should have nothing to fear

    The other clue is that they ask you to send them your password in the email. If it is in clear text in the email then it's not secure.

    No real company will ever ask you to send them an email containing your password.
  • Hotmail have a disclaimer saying "we will never ask a user for their password" I can't think of a single company that would. at the most they would be like you need to login to your account and fill in a form
