she has sold a dress on ebay, customer paid £45 plus £3 postage, customer asked for quick delivery but had already paid so my friend paid £4.50 for the postage to get it there quicker
as goodwill.

the lady contacted my friend today saying there are pulls in the dress and a stain and wants a full refund.
the dress was only worn once and any pulls were not visable to her when she sold, the listing only stated it was worn once and basically where it was from, what original price was.

my friends ebay listing states no returns but she offered £10 off for dry cleaning but doesnt want to refund, the lady is still insisting on a refund and my friend doesnt want any bad feedback as she is at 100% and has never had any problems selling before.

should she still insists on no refunds as stated, she is unsure of what to do

There's no point in saying "no returns" if the buyer paid by Paypal.

The purchaser can return an item with an SNAD dispute opened, which will count against your friend, so it's usually wise to ask the customer to return the item to you if she's not happy with it and then if it's really in the condition she claims refund her return postage.

If the friend is offering £10 for dry-cleaning then perhaps she might think there really is a problem, and if the woman wants to return it then let her. Then she can get the item cleaned herself and sell it on to someone who will want it.

But definitely insist on a return, as this is what Paypal and/or eBay will also expect.

Offer a refund on return of the dress, that way your friend may retain her 100% FB.

I would agree, your friend cannot win, so best to refund the item, or recieve negative feedback.

I'm with the posts above especially as your friend appears to believe there is an issue, as othewise why offer £10 for dry cleaning?
