I've used them twice when I needed a few hundred quid, and while it obviously isn't an ideal situation, being skint isn't either, and teh 2 times it was a big help to get the money.

Don't plan on using them again, and shouldn't need to, but they were handy at the time.

Whatever u do don't do it hun i did and it was the worst mistake of my life, i will admit it was simple and easy at first and very handy esp when i needed the cash but the more time went on the worst it got, then i had a problem arise with my cash payment to them few days before it was due. It resulted in me getting stuck and having to contact them to sort out a payment plan, that alone was a nightmare and when i did finally speak to someone who could help me they agreed yes i could have a payment plan. Little did i know setting up a payment plan would cost me on top my loan went from owing them 400 to over 800 which i started paying off in feb of this year and will still be paying it off till september.

    To give you another view,

I have used Wonga, and their service for me was very good.

I only borrowed what I depserately needed for a few days to pay for some emergenices. Paid them back and no problem. Yes you have to pay a lot of interest but it does what it says on the tin. They even warn you not to use payday sites for long term financial help.

I knew I could use it as I was getting paid at the end of month, and I had budgeted for it.

HOWEVER only consider using a payday site if you 100% know you can pay it back on time. ANY doubt what so ever, do not touch them. Ask a relative, a friend, sell something before you go near a payday site if you have any doubts you can't pay it back!

Thats just my two cents anyway.

My opinion is like Frige03's. Pay on time and you'll be fine. Of course, in an ideal world nobody'd used loans with so high interest, but we don't live in an ideal world.

To be fair I have used wonga a few times, in emergencies such as my car needing repair.I have found the service to be excellent.Yes the APR is ridiculas but the thing is you are only borrowing for a few days not a year so you do not incur that interest.A few quid in interest seems a fair exchange for them lending you money when you are desperate and putting it straight in your bank, hassle free within a few hours.Like any financial transaction you should not enter into it if you cant afford to pay it back.If I was temporarily stuck in future I wouldnt hesitate to use them again.

Agreed if you use them correctly and manage the service as it states then they are a valuable source of quick cash in an emergency

People who are forced to use payday loan companies are not people who will be accepted for credit cards, let alone 0% ones...

rubbish..... you have have went ovedawn a cpl of times, therefore your bank may not increase u o/draft, they may give you a c/card, but from applying to get ur card is a couple of days...

ccar breaks down in morning,,, whats your solution (need car for work)

wonga can have the money in your account within 15 minutes..... as long as its used responsibilty, then there are no problems

its high APR. they dont hide that fact, but its fast and efficient as long as it used correctly
Promo codes are never always cheaper..... isnt that right EuropCar?
