Just wondering what does it mean if it says the edition of Vista is "Upgrade edition" I'm not sure which verison to get..

Thanks but it doesn't answer my question, you can get two versions of each of the versions on there, one of them being "upgrade edition" - I wanted to know what that was for.sco0ter wrote:0 -
Generally speaking, the upgrade edition is used if you already have a previous Windows operating system (XP, etc) on your PC and you want to upgrade to Vista.
If you do not have an existing operating system, (or want to format and start afresh), you would use the full version not the upgrade.0 -
Your better off not urgrading a fresh install would be reccomended. Oh im using vista business (got it free from college) Its good but theres not many differences between xp and vista. Although if somethings wrong it gives better error messages than xp.0

I agree. If the upgrade is anything like the 95 to 98 and 98 to XP ones were, you'll end up re-installing to get it working at some point anyway
