Hi there,
Newbie here and would appreciate some advise. I have osteoarthritis in both knees, this is a direct result from major back problems that I have had for the last 9 years. I have had two operations on my back and have now got arthritis in the lower back as well.
After 13 months and 3 days I have finally got my appeal date for DLA next month.
As I have never claimed anything before, let alone go to an appeal can anybody tell me what I might expect. It won't be a room full of people will it? I get really nervous in these kind of situation's and hate being the centre of attention.
My husband is also attending the hearing with me, will he be able to tell them how my disability affects him on a daily basis? Or is it solely for me to explain my life as it has become?
Many thanks in advance,
Sandy
