Who pays the return postage on Item?

I have purchased a heavy(10 kilo) item and its not as described.

It was a "moving picture" which arrived with screws sticking out on the front at an angle so theres a gap between the front and rear frame, initial splitting where the screws have been screwed in for one of the 2 frame hangers and it does not have any sound feature which was in the description! Have messaged the seller but would like to know where I stand with regard to return shipping costs.

Forgot to say the seller is supplying them as brand new and in mint condition!

If its as you describe I would say the seller. As a seller though I would expect a detailed description of what is wrong, do you think it was caused by courier etc. Stay very friendly and objective at the start and don't expect instant replies until the festive season is over. Don't threaten anything at the early stages and see how he responds.

    Thanks for the reply..

The item arrived perfectly packaged and was definately not damaged in transit, its just been really poorly manufactured.

The seller would of been none the wiser, it was supplied in original sealed packaging.

I would probably photograph the item and send some pictures with the message to the seller. This way they know you are genuine and not playing up the faults. I would wait for their response before asking about postage being paid, they may offer before being asked.
