PCN - wrong colour of car, enforcable?

Pretty much as the title says - the PCN has totally the wrong colour for my car, all other details are correct. Does this mean I don't need to pay?

Thanks

How wrong is the color? If they say red and it's actually burgundy then it's close enough.

:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

Private parking ticket, it does not matter if they say its sky blue pink with yellow spots its all unenforceable. Council pcn, regrettably the colour makes no difference. Which is it?
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

Assuming this is a council PCN, wrong colour alone is not a ground for appeal

Assuming it's a real Council PCN, I echo the above but would say there are usually other grounds for appeal. Forget the car colour but post on pepipoo forum with a picture of the PCN - if it's a real (Council) one:

    http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showforum=30

They can help get most people off most Council PCNs; your chances of success are high.

And as already said by others, if it's a private company fake PCN then just ignore it, no need to post about it on pepipoo as it's unenforceable bog roll. You would just need to ignore a series of letters (threatograms from debt collectors) then nothing else happens, end of scam.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
