Yes, auctions are not as cheap as they used to be and BCA are particularly expensive.
It's only good value if you have a VAT registered business and then you can claim the vat back (I believe - that's what BCA staff told me anyway).
Then you have all the hassle of taking it off the yard straight away - insurance, tax etc.
