This thread may be better off in the "I wanna buy or do it" board...
  • i did put it on that board as well.

interestingly it's been viewed by more people on this one so far . !
  • I've been looking for a photo printer lately and if you look hard enough you can find review sites than tell you cost per page.

Our local photo shop will print off 50 6x4 for £5 ... they also offer reasonable prices on enlargements etc. this is much cheaper than running your own personal photo printer. If you intend printing a lot of pictures I would suggest using the pohto shops. If you only want a few then you also have to consider that the inks in the printer could clog or dry up.

Last time I looked at one of these (apologies, I can't remember which model it was) you bought a pack of paper and cartridges for about £25-30. That allowed you to print out 100 photographs which works out at 25-30p per picture (ignoring initial cost of printer) as opposed to 10p per picture to get the local photo shop to do it. I am sure there may be cheaper inks and stationery packs but then I would wonder if the quality would be as good.

I hope that you didn't choose this camera because of the 'free' printer as it will not be cheap to use! Much better to take your pictures to the local ASDA, TESCO or high street photo shop, for very economical and hassle free printing, unless of course they are pictures that you don't want others to see! nudge nudge wink wink!

  • nintendosensei.. want to give any clues as to what /where ??

expresso ... hit the nail on the head ! ... i'd avoded this product last year because it was said that print costs were so high .. but someone is sending me one.

think i've worked out that it needs a g200 print pack the only product that works with it .. .. £40 for 200 prints =20p but there is someone on ebay at about £34 = 17p .

    Still too expensive !
