Joint Accounts and Bank Incentives

Hi,
I will shortly be getting married, and my other half and I will be setting up a joint account. At the moment we're not sure whether we should switch our own accounts and just use this joint account, or pay money in to pay the bills and keep our own accounts.
I always here of the incentives with switching bank accounts, but I'm worried that because I get paid weekly by cheque, that won't satisfy the requirements for getting the bonus £100 or whatever it is.
ANy advice or help gratefully received
