You could always walk up to the hills and breathe the heady, fresh air of success?
Smells a lot like horse poo to me :rotfl:(literally).
Just to be clear are you saying the successful all moved up to Saddleworth? I can genuinely say now amount of success would make me want to live up there, bad transport links is enough for me never mind the fact I would have to pretend to be called Geoff and eat many scones.
I do agree its part of Lancashire to which it was once part of Yorkshire (was it 1974 when it changed?) but I suppose with the average age up there ever climbing I suppose I can see where to confusion is coming from.
I do class it as the home of the nimby, many complain there children can't afford houses so have to join the likes of me in the ghetto but as soon as the say no worries we will build some houses they try to block every proposal.
Anyway I am glad all is going well for you up in the hills, you will be glad to hear life is great at the bottom of the hills to.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

Just checking back into the thread after another absence from the board. Interest rates are still at 0.5% and everything is right in the world!

Nice one Percy.
Do you look back and laugh about how you tried to make out 1983 was the worst year to be born since the Black Death? As I knew, being born iin the UK in 1983 was equivalent to winning life's lottery.0 -

Correct, but that isn't a reason not to make good investment decisions. Money is only something used to buy things with, but we all have to buy things, he wasn't suggesting that making money should be the focal point of one's life.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

I invested another £18k in equities this morning, it might dip further, but in the long run I am happy with the price that I paid, it is all for dividend income for my retirement years.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

I bought into a few shares after I cashed in my funds. I made quite a bit with BP, Tesco and easyjet but that was just day/week trading. I invested back into funds on 02/09/2015 (I think the FTSE hit something like 5800/5900) and to date I'm £8,462.07 up.
I am thinking of cashing back out. I can see another mini correction on the horizon when the US finally put up their interest rates.0
