Combi boiler issues

Thought i would post uo here to see if anyone has some further knowledge into the issue.

Our current Grant External Combi boiler (oil fuel), only a year old, has started to continually lock it self out and does not ignite. It goes through the whole purging sequence however when it is ready to ignite it just cuts out again.

I have checked that there is a good fuel supply to the boiler, Is there anything else i could try before calling out a plumber ?

which model is it and do any lights come on?

Has it had its first service yet as it is a year old?

Secondly, if it has, get your installer to call Grant as it is still under warranty.

Grant had a lot of problems with fuel pumps at one point.

Its not yet had its first service, the problem started intermitently then proceeded to just stop the boiler altogether.

I have check the fuel pump everything looks fine in there, i cleaned the filter, injector, and the electrodes.

what way can you test the electrode to see if they are firing ?

It is a Grant Vortex Pro External Combi

Call Grant under warranty. Don't fiddle with it as you may invalidate the warranty.
