Little bit worried, was just on my laptop, and got this message.

I couldn't do anything apart from turn it off via the power button.
Has anyone seen anything like this before? I'm about to do a virus scan, but looking for a bit of piece of mind.
Thanks.

does look worrying ; seems to have been a spate of Apple virus attacks over the last few weeks , in particular the surreptitious Mac 'Defender' download -- it's anything but .A new abacus

Had a bit of a look on Google, and it appears to be a 'kernel panic', something to do with software issues. Not updated for a while, been advised to do that.
Still going to do a virus scan, just in case! What is pi? Where did it come from?0 -
I dont get a link there so cant see what your issue is, but id recomend ensuring your machine and software are all up to date as well as doing some scanning too. Macs historically havent had alot of virus trouble but with their current popularity its more than likley they will become almost as attacked as windows machines!
oh and also always try to backup your data as often as you can just encase

what virus checker do you have? I would recommend iAntivirus, it was free when i downloaded it and performs scans regularly0
