Fires Galore - Beware people!! Do not buy from these

I purchased a dimplex cavendish over a month ago at an incredible price..i still do not have the fire which was apparently in stock at the time of purchase. The reason they are selling at such good prices is because they are going bust and taking money for goods they will never ever send out.

I looked on Money Saving Expert Forum and they have done this over and over so beware! i will be ok as my credit card company have offered to reimburse me but this should not be allowed to happen. I have reported them to trading standards.

Try buying a fire they say they have in stock! they will tell you 14 days delivery..How odd!

I purchased a gas stove and 5 inch x 3 foot flue pipe from these people on the 9th June costing over £1000.

I had problems with them not delivering on the day they said they would and was told when I emailed the company (John replied) that it was because Corrine had left. Email was the only way I could contact them as the phone number kept going to a voicemail facility and regardless of how many messages I left I never got called back.

I found these threads and really wished I had seen them before ordering.

To cut a long story short I eventually and thankfully took delivery of my stove on the 1st July. However even though I ordered the flue pipe to fit the stove was the wrong size flue pipe was delivered. (I have now had to purchase the correct flue pipe from a reputable company and took delivery within 2 days)

I emailed firesgalore again on the 1st July as the phone was still going to voicemail and got a reply on the 4th saying that the correct flue pipe would be sent by courier. Despite sending several emails (asking when to expect delivery of the correct pipe and to enquire about the return procedure for the incorrect pipe) I haver had no replies by email or phone.
I paid by visa debit card (could have been an expensive mistake to make) and as the gas stove was £1000 the story could have been much worse than what it actually is.

I will contact my bank again tomorrow to attempt to get the cost of the flue pipe back (the bank says I have to wait 14 days from the company's last contact before they will open a dispute).

To summarise DO NOT touch these people. They are continuing to advertise on their website and when I tried putting items into the online shopping basket today they are still taking money if people are willing to buy!!

Avoid them like the plague unless you want to wave a swift goodbye to your cash!!!
