God no. Being debt-free for me will mean freedom and why would I want to give that up again? Being a DFW is not just about paying off our debts- it's about changing the way you see and manage money. Most of us on here have made permanent changes to the way we manage our finances and hopefully these changes will be lifetime habits now.

  • I am planning that when my time comes,my withdrawel symptoms from being a DFW will be replaced by being a mortgate free wannabe (Or Maybe I'll just enjoy buying lots of nice things or going on holidays [All paid for WITHOUT Loans or CC's]) Whatever it will be, I can't wait.!!!
  • TBH it was an anti climax when I paid capital one off. I somehow expected to feel different.

Having a DFW attitude goes deeper than just paying off the debt, I love to get a bargain, even though I am not in debt anymore I appreciate that I can only spend it once. I agree thta having a goal is good and mine is to retire as soon as I feel I have enough to live on.

  • I'm still a few years away from that time, but I can't imagine it being an anti climax being paid on the 15th & not being skint on the 16th!!
