Hi all, I need to replace my hinges one of my double glazed windows.

Need a fire egress hinge -but I want to use a good quality hinge but no idea where to source or what makes a good hinge - what to ask for?

I've found the following brands online but no idea which is best:

Cotswold
Window ware
Trojan
Securistyle

Can anyone out there advise?

Thanks!

the quality of the steel for a start. stainless comes in differing qualities, marine or coastal or bog standard

normally the screws come out before the hings needs replacing so do ensure you get a good fixing (not many windows have steel reinforcement these days but the best ones still do) consider "repair screws" screws with bigger thread for times when smaller screws have ripped the threads of the PVC

Buying quality goods which last, should be an investment that saves money. :T
Buying cheap products which fail, wastes money and costs twice as much in the long run.
