Electrical Appliances - Energy Ratings

Is there any way of quantifying the amount of energy saved by using higher rated (ie 'A' as opposed to 'B') electrical appliances, and hence how much money is saved? Is it worth buying a better energy rated appliance at a higher cost?
As an example, I have just bought a new washing machine, rated 'A+' replacing one rated 'B'. It also uses just a cold water fill instead of hot and cold on the old machine. What are my likely tangible financial savings with the new machine? Is there a website that can calculate it for you?
Thanks.
