    Congratulations to Mummysaver.

Enjoying tea and toast with my feet up in peace and quiet - bliss! I could see the pedigree cattle in the field outside as I came downstairs and it is a lovely scene.

Two dds off to work and youngest off to school while DH is pottering in the garden. We are picking up oldest at Leeds station at around 3 and she is home for nearly a week:j

Something must have happened on the A road to York last night as cars were bumper to bumper outside and lorries that would usually be on the bypass were all on our road instead. Poor DD got stuck in the mess and a journey of around 40 minutes took her nearly three hours.

New duvet cover for spare room arrived last evening and it is really pretty- even better, the price should have been £19.99 for a single and I paid under £7 for it. Just hope the side table arrives soon so it can go next to sofabed and make the room look more planned and comfortable.

Tea will be half price gammon joint I got at Mr S last night with freshly picked potatoes from the garden and a side salad or green beans.

    Hugs to all.

    Morning my lovelies :D

Quick one from me. Looks to be a showery day. Got to pick up stuff to make DD's birthday cake this afternoon, 2kg of white fondant icing!!!
Tea tonight will be something with chicken, no idea what though :o
Made cupcakes to freeze for DD's birthday party next week and finished her bunting, pics will be on my homepage at some point.

Mummysaver - Well done to you and welcome to Spud (or should that be Spudette ;))

Tiredmum - I am with Costco. Not everything is cheaper but their meat is fantastic quality, butcher quality but supermarket (or sometimes cheaper) prices. their 12 packs of tinned plum tomatoes are fabulous and work out a couple of pennies cheaper than basics range. their big boxes of washing powder are good value too :) Oops I see you don't need these.

hugs and spoons all round. Have a good day OS or not.

    Afternoon all

    Congrats Mummysaver!! :D

I'm back! Had a good trip with work. Fair play to my work kids they behaved really well, just a bit of high jinks last night after lights out which died down quickly when I used my 'angry voice' :rotfl:. Sadly it was pouring down today so we couldn't go climbing and abseiling, but we will go another time so they won't miss out. We had lovely meals and I came back with bag of leftover goodies - 15 eggs, loaf of bread, bag of pasta, 4 x tins of tomatoes, passata and tom puree :)

Home from work now and have tomorrow off too :D Gonna have shower and lie down now cos I'm a bit knackered! Then I'm going to watch trashy tv and read magazines:j.

OS wise - WM will go on and need to unpack etc.

    Have a good day all

    Afternoon all! :o

Had a long lie until 10 this morning, I am not sleeping great through the night atm. All this worry about my sister and BIL must be playing on my mind while I am sleeping :o The meeting with the doctor was really informative yesterday, sadly the tumour is inoperable, and the best they can do is chemo to halt or hinder its growth, and possibly destroy some of it. My sister is devastated, but her man is being incredible and very positive, and looking into alternative therapies and changing to an all organic diet amongst other things to see if it can help. I am really impressed with him :) and hope his attitude will take him a long way.

DS2 has just gone to his friend's for the day, and DS1 and I are going to do some toy clearing, then go shopping this afternoon for school trousers for himself. I have his shirts and jumpers in already, and he will just need a new bag, jacket and shoes next. I plan on buying one a week to spread the expense a bit. M&S 20% off uniform is finishing this week I think, so double check.

OS I have dried the last of the washing that was waiting, and will put something on for dinner, haven't done well at all with menuplanning and reallly need to get that sorted out.

Congrats to mummysaver, will go have a nosey at FB and see who has arrived :D

Hugs spoons and hi fives all round!

Congratulations to Mummysaver! Don't see folk on FB so can you tell me the details please?

    Morning All

Went to Edinburgh yesterday and DS2 ended coming home with us as he has toothache and got an appointment for 10 this morning. He has wisdom teeth coming through and are giving him gip. They have given him some anti-bs and mouthwash and he has to go back. Think he should find another dentist nearer to where he is. Anyway, dropped him at the station and he is on his way back now.

The window in my car dropped again yesterday when DD opened her side so I was frozen going through to Edinburgh as there was a gale blowing through the car!! It is taped up again so can't wait to get it fixed tomorrow. Waiting in for DD to get a new windscreen in hers, she cleaned the condensation off the inside with her hand but forgot that she was wearing a huge ring so has scratched it right in her line of vision. Beginning to think cars are a bad idea!

Had a good hoover through as have visitors later with very small children, have given the kitchen and bathrooms a quick clean too. Washing on and DW going on soon. Pasta with HM sauce for tea.

    Take care all. XX
