I have a Nationwide Gold Visa card.

I am about to put through a £2,000 hotel booking in Indian rupees. I will be away from Sunday until September.

Can anyone confirm that I get the commission-free purchases until July 31, then 20% of whatever I've spent after that, as an existing Gold visa card holder?

The way I read it these arrangements don't apply to gold cards - only to the new standard card

I read it the same. Only the new card has the new conditions. The Gold Visa, and the previous standard credit card, still have the old conditions.

Agreed. Still 0% commission in Europe, 1% outside.
