Advice needed on Banking Code !!!

My bank who I have been with since i was a student are out of order, or so I think. I had an additions account for a few years, then was approached my the bank to move to Platinum banking, so I did - it was free, and it seemed to work and I got a few perks. I thought I'd been on it until recenty when I checked my statments and saw I was being charged interest on an overdraft (it was supposed to be free £500 etc). I called my bank who informed me that they had taken me off Platinum banking because I no longer qualified! I said how long ago and why didn't you tell me? They apologised and gave me a £10.00 credit and was told I was just a normal current account holder and had been for a year!
What can I do people I want to know if they are breaking some code here by not telling me first. Please help!

As the bank have already offered £10 it looks like they have conceded that they are in the wrong.
