As for the contents cover, I am pretty sure that I will be covered (£11,900 for Household goods, £5940 for high risk items and £2590 for personal possessions) - it just tasted sour to be getting that at the time of making a genuine claim.
That is a very very low sum insured. Its so low that its like waving a red flag at the insurer saying come and get me. Most contents policies for a average sized house see figures of £35k-50k as the sum insured.
So, there is a valid reason for them checking your sum insured.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. Totally agree there!I can't see how anyone with a claim of £5000 or more will get a full pay out as their insured amounts are so low,and that's why they are cheap!
On a £20,000 cover you'd be lucky to get £7000 i reckon!!Money does not bring happiness...but if you are already happy it does bloody help! :rotfl:0
