Oh bum, my cat has been at the turkey!

Well I've just got in to find that the blinkin cat has somehow managed to eat her way through the packaging and gnawed most of the leg off the still half defrosted turkey.

Thought I was being organised by defrosting it in good time as well.

I have cut off the rest of the gnawed leg but do you think it'll be safe to eat after this or will cat germs be in there??

Can't afford to bin it but will if I must but reckon the chances of getting another turkey (free range) are nil.

Any advice gratefully received, ta.

I'm actually quite relaxed about it, impressed almost that she managed to eat through plastic wrapping and then frozen raw turkey leg.

When I say relaxed I kind of mean 'in shock'.:D

    :o sorry!

    :D

Treat it like gangrene, cut the leg off at the next joint and you'll be fine. Hell what's a bit of cat-spit poisoning between friends?

Nah, it'll be fine, it's only a cat! I'd chop the leg off at the joint and cook it, nay problems.

Looks like she'll be okay. I was a bit worried for her. It's easy to see I don't know much about pets! :o

Well they don't have ovens, hobs and microwaves in the wild and they're not extinct yet :D

Google the BARF diet, may people feed only raw meat and if I had the dedication I would too.

Aww thanks sweetie, was having visions of violently retching cat being stared at by 2 hungry kids with narrowed eyes, and me, head in the freezer, trying to convince all that a traditional christmas dinner can include lamb chops!

She appears very well (the cat) in fact has that cheeky look on her face saying 'wanna play'!

    Cheers for looking though.
