Homeless charity Glasgow?
Options
Hi, I am new to posting and love this thread. I looking for a charity in the Glasgow /South Lanarkshire that could use some small household items , dishes, ornaments, curtains etc. Would prefer something like a charity that helps homeless people restart.Any information would be gratefully received.
Thanks
Thanks

I have no local knowledge of Glasgow, but maybe you could try Salvation Army? Also try posting on the charities board as there may be a better response. Good luck.
Skint but happy with my lovely family

Try the Blue Triangle Housing Association in Glasgow, or the Salvation army, also The Big Issue used to take donations for their people, I don't know if they still do.It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

Hi jinty,
I've moved your thread over to the Charities board where you may get more replies.

Hamilton Furniture Initiative and Gorbals Recycling Project are 2 that spring to mind, I think HFI accept mostly larger household items which Social Work and Housing can refer families/individuals to and they only charge a delivery cost. Gorbals have a shop where they sell household goods at very reasonable prices. Both of them are very useful to vulnerable/impoverished/homeless families.0
