Getting the price reduced would be the ideal situation, as I say we want rid of the thing anyway asbestos or not.
In practice just keep your kiddie out of the garage, spray the area to reduce dust and bag and bin making sure you check your local authority rules on asbestos and bins. Then clean up the dust, not sure how. The risk is VERY low. As long as you don't grind the stuff into powder and inhale it.
WE had our large single garage roof taken down and away by asbestos contractors for about 300 quid - by all means try and get a few hundred knocked off the price but for that sort of sum I don't think it should be a deal breaker.
Ok, here's the deal - to pose a risk with this sort of asbestos sheeting, you would have to smash it with hammers, angle grind it to release huge clouds of dust, then kneel over it inhaling deeply.
Just take it off, using the sensible procautions of damping down and wearing quality dust mask etc, then bag it and bin it at tip as described. It's no big deal!
