What kind of dongle do I need for router connection

Hi
Had broadband fit by sky, phone line is in different room to computer, been told we can buy a dongle which connects to the computer and then to the router but haven't got a clue how to fit this or which to get, advice greatly appreciated.

install the software from the CD , lug in the usb dongle
enter wireless key from the Sky router (normally on a credit card size thing they give you)Ex forum ambassador

Thanks for that, sorry but another question, had problems connecting xbox live to the router we received from virgin, will we have the same problems again when we are disconnected from them and then connected to sky.

cant posbbily awnser that one without knowing what your problem is, how are you conecting the xbox to the router? wired or wireless?
or do you mean it was connected but you couldnt get on xbox live?
the router from sky should be completely differnt to the one you had at virgin, but im happy to help you sort it when you've got sky in & given us some more info
