Council Tax when Bankrupt

Council Tax debts aren't sold on.
However pedantic you want to be, it does not detract from how unpleasant the situation is when your account goes from one company to another, to another after you have been declared bankrupt.Feb 2024:

Does it matter to the OP, or anyone else for that matter whether or not companies pay for council tax accounts or whether they're passed out without charge? The point I was making was the speed at which the account is moved about. After I had sent all my information to one company, it was literally a couple of days before I was hounded by another company dealing with the same account.
I couldn't care less how the company got hold of the account, the fact remains it's extra hassle and stress that was my issue.Feb 2024:

I agree it does not matter to the OP, but if the wrong info is posted, then expect someone to correct it. This has happened to all of us in the past, and generally it is done to clarify things, not to have a go at a particular poster. That way in the future, it helps us all to help one another gain the relevant and correct info.:pB&SC No. 298
