Changing address on V5, but already filled out the form incorrectly!
O.k, Im not as stupid as I sound! Promise!
I never got round to changing my V5 and so when I got married this year I filled out my form with my new name and address, and forgot to send it...
Now we're moving in a few weeks and I need to change it to my new address but the 'new address' section already has my current address in it!
I've looked online and can't seem to find an answer other than to pay £25 for a new V5, which obviously isnt very MSE.
Can I cross it out and re write it?

2 tippex it out and redo then add an explanetory letter,
if it works, fine, if not you have £20 to find;)I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -

I only realised the other day and felt like a right tit! Lol
In my defense it was only 3 months ago and I needed my mileage so I thought 'ooh Ill check next time im in the car' and then didn't.....
Ill try tippex and an explanatory letter once we moveGreen and White Barmy Army!0 -
think I'd be inclined to forget the letter and just stick with the tippex.
If you start explaining that you haven't updated adress as you should have no good can come of it and you are inviting a bill/fine0 -
Tippex for me too.
Also the mileage is a voluntary thing.0 -
brake fluid for me
and i dont do the mileage in case somewhere in its past its been clocked and i get called as witness in the future0
